Harmonia KOBE Golden Week Special
OPEN-AIR CONCERTS
During this year’s Golden Week, a special classical concert series will be held on the open-air stage of the green Mount Rokko.
Five international artists and excellent students of Harmonia KOBE will perform a selection of classical programmes.

⚪︎The Harmonia KOBE’s Rokkosan Forest Stage has been improved this year and now has a larger space for children and families to enjoy a picnic atmosphere.
⚪︎ Combo tickets are available for joining the concerts as many times as you like during the festival.
⚪︎ Drinks will be available for purchase.

(Can be used as many times as desired during the four-day period. If the concert is cancelled for more than two days due to weather, etc., the remaining tickets will be refunded.)

Access: Less than 15 minutes’ walk north from Rokkosan Sanjo sta.
Bus-stop Monument Stand (one section from Yamagami sta), 5 min walk.
Free parking is available nearby at the Visitor Centre (until 4 p.m.), Rokko Cable Sanjo Station Car Park, and Tenrandai Car Park (east side of Cable Sanjo Station).
ARTISTS
Rita D’Arcangelo:
A graduate of the Conservatorio Musicale di Pescara, Italy, and the music academies of Manchester, Milan and Mannheim, she made her debut at Carnegie Hall in NYC and has performed on German radio, NHK and Vatican Radio. While in Japan, she was Principal Flute of the Hyogo Performing Arts Centre Orchestra and the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. She currently performs and teaches in Berlin.
Yutaka Hayashi:
Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts. Graduated first in his class from the Freiburg Musikhochschule on a scholarship. Awarded the Excellence Prize at the Japan Arts Festival. President of the Jury of the Popper Cello Competition. Former Associate Professor at SOAI University. Professor at the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts.
Mauro Iurato:
Born in Turin. Visited Japan as a guest professor from the Vienna State University of Music. Guest concertmaster of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. Founder and director of the Violin School of Harmonia Kobe Ltd. Awarded the Kobushi Shien Prize and the Kobe City Cultural Award by the Kobe Culture Support Foundation. Awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2023.
Pablo Escande:
Born in Argentina. After graduating from the Buenos Aires Conservatory, he studied harpsichord, fortepiano, basso continuo and composition in the Netherlands. He is currently expanding his diverse musical activities in Japan and is known not only for his compositions and arrangements, but also for his conducting and accompaniment with a wide range of knowledge and views. Conductor of the Telemann Chamber Choir Circle and conductor of the KANSAI BAROQUE. Part-time lecturer at Kyoto Women’s University.
Giuseppe Mariotti:
A graduate of the Piacenza Conservatory in Italy and the Vienna State University of Music, he is an exclusive pianist for Bösendorfer. He came to Japan as a visiting professor at the Music Faculty of Tokushima Bunri University, which has an academic exchange agreement with the Vienna University of Music, and is currently Dean of the Faculty.
