Lunch Concert – Diavolo Italiano
Music and lunch virtuoso in the summer on Mt Rokko!
The programme chosen by the two performers for this lunch concert is the Sonata for Violin and Passing Bass ‘The Devil’s Trill’, composed by the Italian violinist Giuseppe Tartini in the late Baroque period. It is the most famous masterpiece of his works. It got its name from the legend that Tartini woke up to the beauty of the music when the Devil came out of a dream and played violin in his bed side.
The performance is said as Viltuoso, but it is also a very beautiful and nostalgic melodic piece. This is a sumptuous concert of baroque masterpieces with a special lunch menu in the beautiful Rokko Mountains in early summer.
Iurato plays with his violin actually owned by another Italian composer, G. Pugnani.
