Journey from Bottesini to Gershwin & Piazzolla
<Music Play>
Violin: Mauro Iurato
Contrabass: Jonathan STEFANIAK
Piano: Mariko Sano
As you know, the contrabass is the largest stringed instrument with a deep, deep sound. It emits the lowest notes and can play a range of about three octaves (upper limit depends on the player). He may be an unsung hero, but in this concert, We would like him to show fascinating solo performances that makes use of a wide range of sounds, sometimes warm and sometimes like an earth rumbling.
Bottesini, Vals, Penderecki, Gershwin, Piazzolla… a breathtaking repertoire. Enjoy a journey through a variety of musical styles, from romantic to contemporary to jazz and Latin music.
